Hi!

Welcome to A BIT MORE SEASONING.

My aim here is to help you understand a little more about what’s in season when & how to cook it.

As a professionally trained Leiths cook & food obsessive, I want to show you that seasonal eating does not need to be fussy or intimidating & it certainly shouldn’t be limited to dining out or for those of us who have the space to grow our own.

The reality is, most of us have lost touch with the seasons & it’s no surprise when supermarkets make it easier to find fresh food shipped in from around the globe rather than seasonal British produce.

What to expect

Once a month, you’ll receive A Bit More Seasoning straight to your inbox featuring a list of best in season produce with little hints & tips on what to do with them.

Then the really good stuff! You will also receive a minimum of three, yes THREE, recipes per month!

Two of the recipes will focus on one specific fruit or vegetable of the month & the third recipe will highlight a seasonal meat or fish - other than the very obvious seasonal meat of turkey at Christmas, I think we have a habit of forgetting that meats, fish and shellfish all have their own seasonality.

Lastly, we have Perfectly Seasoned a little space to talk about some of my favourite producers & places that are doing amazing things.

Thanks so much for being here & I can’t wait to see what you cook!
